About Us
Founded in 2017

From small beginnings in Pottsville in 2017, our community was born from a simple belief — women in business thrive when they’re supported, connected and inspired.

What started as a handful of like-minded women meeting locally has grown into a vibrant, empowering network stretching across the Tweed and Byron region. Today, Tweed to Byron Women in Business brings together entrepreneurs, creatives, founders and professionals who value community over competition, and collaboration over isolation.

We exist to:
✨ Create meaningful connections
✨ Share knowledge, skills and real experiences
✨ Support women at every stage of their business journey
✨ Build confidence, creativity and courage
✨ Provide spaces for growth — through events, masterclasses, panels and collaborative conversations
From our early meetups to our sold-out events, masterclasses and now new initiatives like Tweed to Byron Kids in Business, our mission remains the same: to uplift the women (and future young entrepreneurs)
who shape our region.

This is more than a business group.
It’s a community built on heart, honesty and shared ambition.
It’s a place where ideas grow, women rise, and success is celebrated together.
Welcome to Tweed to Byron Women in Business —
where connection creates momentum, and women create the future.

Meet Jordana, Founder
Jordana started this group 8 years ago to bring together the incredible founders, creatives, and professionals from across the Tweed and Byron region. Her north star is simple: practical support, real connections, and women championing women.
Jordana is a seasoned entrepreneur and the mastermind behind The Breastfeeding Tea Co , Australia's leading brand in the industry. Over the past 14 years, she has built two seven-figure businesses, including her previous venture, Clean Tea.
The Breastfeeding Tea Co, launched in 2020 during the pandemic, has supported over 70,000 breastfeeding mothers across Australia with simple, effective, and natural teas and lactation hot chocolates.Recognised for her business acumen, Jordana was named the National Ausmumpreneur of the Year in 2022 and holds 13 Ausmumpreneur trophies. She has also been honoured at the Women’s Small Business Champion Awards, Roar Awards, Clean & Conscious Awards, and the She-Com awards. In addition to her business achievements.
Jordana was a dedicated board member and volunteer event organiser for a homeless charity. She organises the annual Heart of Women Awards, raising over $30,000 annually to support the homeless.Jordana's is a mother of three, and soon to be grandma. Her journey from a small tea stall in Byron Bay to a multimillion-dollar global brand demonstrates her passion for empowering women through natural products and business mentorship.
What I’m here for:
-
Connection: creating spaces where partnerships and referrals happen naturally
-
Education: masterclasses, founder panels, and toolkits you can implement the same day
-
Visibility: shining a light on local women doing remarkable things

Meet Katie, Founder
Katie wears many hats in life – Wife, Mum, Nannie, Sister, and Daughter – and brings with her a wealth of experience, resilience, and a passion for community.
Originally from Sydney, she made the move north in 2015. In the very same week, she sadly lost her beloved brother, which became the catalyst for her to pour her energy into volunteering. Katie quickly became an integral part of the St Ambrose Primary School community, starting their biannual fair and helping coordinate countless events.
Her giving spirit has always been a driving force – from raising thousands of dollars for Breast Cancer fundraising lunches and the Leukaemia Foundation in Sydney, to supporting local causes here on the Tweed. Alongside this, Katie built a career as an event stylist, honing her creative flair and love for bringing people together.
In 2016, she founded Kakes & Biscuits, which began as a teepee business and holiday workshops, before evolving into a Casuarina-based space for community events, creative workshops, and corporate gatherings. By 2019, it became a hub for connection and creativity, and in 2024, Katie expanded again, launching Blossom Creative Events – a dedicated corporate events service that continues her mission to unite people and support the community.
Katie’s journey is one of passion, creativity, and generosity, and we’re thrilled to have her facilitating events for our network of inspiring women in business.
