Tweed Coast Collective

We are 3 local mums and business owners who have a heart for helping the community.
Tweed Coast Collective is a new community-driven venture dedicated to bringing people together through meaningful events with purpose.
Our mission is to create experiences that not only connect and inspire, but also give back to those in need. By uniting local businesses, creatives, and residents, we aim to build a stronger, more compassionate community where every event makes a difference.
The Tweed Coast Collective was formed in 2025 to create the first Tweed Coast Winter Charity Ball. Each year there will be a different charity or not for profit to fundraise for.
The 2026 Charity Ball is an opportunity for our community to come together to thank the RFS for everything they do as first responder volunteers of our small towns.

The Tweed Coast Rural Fire Brigade is based at Pottsville, in the Northern Rivers.
The brigade has around a dozen active members, all of whom are volunteers, with ages ranging from 21 up to mid-70's. Tweed Coast is one of few brigades who train weekly, year-round.
The Tweed Coast RFB is primarily a fire response brigade, however we are routinely tasked to motor vehicle accidents, floods, storms, search and rescue and hazardous material incidents.
Tweed Coast volunteers are also active in the community, attending school functions and demonstration days, as well as providing support services for film production crews and music festivals. Tweed Coast RFB also assists Anzac Day ceremonies and coordinates the Xmas Eve Santa run.
The Tweed Coast RFB is uniquely located, in an urban environment yet with no local NSW Fire and Rescue - the nearest being Kingscliff (25 min away) and Brunswick Heads (25 min away). This means Tweed Coast RFB is almost always the first responding appliance to any incident in Pottsville, Hastings Point and Cabarita - whether it's a house fire, car fire, bushfire, or other emergency.
As the Tweed Coast's population continues to grow from almost 100,000 residents now, to an estimated 128,000 by 2031 - including new suburbs of Kings Forest and Dunloe Park, plus a new Pottsville high school in the Seabreeze estate - the strength of the Tweed Coast RFB will be of paramount importance.
How would fundraising be used?
Traditionally, the Tweed Coast RFB has been classified as a rural brigade, and equipped to match its environment. However, due to a rapidly growing population, and an expectation for an increasing number of urban and village incidents, the Tweed Coast RFB believes it should work towards upgrading its appliances in order to provide the most effective fire suppression for the community.
The Tweed Coast RFB station is currently too small to house any larger appliances, so the brigade is looking to renovate the station in order to accommodate its future requirements, and is seeking financial support to undertake these works. At the same time, the brigade would also like to include additional facilities such as a laundry where volunteers can clean their contaminated PPC.
